This directory contains USENET articles Mic
has saved about guitars, equipment, pickup, techniques, players,
and so on. Mic has graciously granted permission to post the
stuff on the JT30 page on the off chance that it might be useful
in the context of Blues Harmonica. Mic is not responsible for
the content, just the collection.

Dating Speakers From tremolu--(at)--ol.com Fri Jul 8 17:16:19 CDT 1994 From: tremolu--(at)--ol.com (Tremolux) Newsgroups: rec.music.makers.guitar Subject: Re: Deluxe Reverb and Jenson speaker Q Date: 8 Jul 1994 03:47:02 -0400 Sender: new--(at)--earch01.news.aol.com In article <2vheq8$hd--(at)--c.msc.edu>, dp--(at)--sc.edu (David P. Mottaz) writes: Look for date codes on the parts inside. If yours is a blackface, does it say "Fender Electric" or "Fender Musical Instruments"? Fender Electric is pre-CBS which means 63 through early 65. The Jensen is date coded. Look for numbers around the edge of the speaker. You'll see 220XYY, where 220 means Jensen, X means the year of manufactuer and YY means the week of the year. Consequently, 220718 would mean the eighteenth week of 1967, or 1957. If there is no 220, it is not a Jensen, but probably an Oxford.
