TS 9 to TS 808From analogmik--(at)--ol.com Fri Jan 12 23:35:19 CST 1996 From: analogmik--(at)--ol.com (AnalogMike) Newsgroups: alt.guitar Subject: Re: TS9 to TS808 conversion Date: 12 Jan 1996 16:38:01 -0500 Sender: roo--(at)--ewsbf02.news.aol.com Reply-To: analogmik--(at)--ol.com (AnalogMike) Tom says, >It's just that >when I use my TS-9 I can get gain and volume for a solo. I concede >that it doesn't do a whole bunch of other sounds. And R.G. is right (of course!) that the printed circuit boards are the same and there are only a few differences. But one is the OP AMP, and I have seen some that sound AWEFUL in a TS-9, so I change them to the original Japanese type, although the radio shack 4558 replacement sounds pretty darn good too!!! I put a pocket in all my upgrades to make changing the chip easier. see my web page for more info on the TS-9 and TS-808. Regards, Mike aNaLoG.MaN http://users.aol.com/AnalogMike/stock.htm for cool guitar effects!
