Good luck finding 7591s. They are a very good sounding tube, but are out
of, production worldwide. You may be able to get tested good used ones
for about $20 each. New ones, last time I checked, cost about $50 each,
when you can find them, which is not very often. Most people I know
either have a stock of them on hand for personal consumption, or they have
the amp converted to use 6V6 or 6L6 tubes. ( I used to have a
Reverberocket too, and I did the conversion.) Sorry, but the outlook for
7591s is pretty grim, the majority of those that were available here in
NOS were all bought up by Japanese collectors.

However, if your tubes do glow blue, that means that they are conducting
current, and they may not be your problem. You may have a bad capacitor
in there somewhere. I suggest you take the amp to a tech and have him
service it.

For example, a guy just brought in an old Ampeg Echo Twin to me to have
converted to 6V6 tubes. I tested the four 7591s that were in it, and all
were still good. I so informed him but he wanted the conversion anyway
because of the tube availability issue. His problem was not weak 7591s,
but instead weak preamp tubes and bad capacitors.

Regards.
