I know that a lot of harp players don't care for 15 inch speaker amps, as a rule neither do I, but as always there's an exception to every rule. I always loved the sound of the old tweed pro's, but as we all know prices for old tweed's have gone nut's. I found a 1960 danelectro explorer with a 15 inch utah and 6l6s, I've got to tell you this is the perfect mid size amp for me, not too big or loud, beautiful breakup nice round tone and plenty of bottom. My bassman has not left my house since I found this amp, and the guy sold me the amp for $225. Just a tip keep your eyes open, if your looking for a great rig these are worth a look for sure. They also made the same amp under the Silvertone name. Think about the tone on the early Cotton records an you'll have an idea. good luck, T.T.

I've always favored crystal elements, other than the real 151 or 127 I have never found any that were worth a damn. I have an old turner stick that was a little to small at the business end to fit an astatic element. A friend of mine gave me a noname crystal that came out of an old italian made real to real. The Mike now sounds damn near as good as my best jt-30. Hell Yeah,T.T.

Starting a forum is a dangerous thing. These places are magnets for hackers and spammers. Four times I've tried to set up a forum here and four times I killed them because of abuse.

I am using bbPress, which is based on WordPress, so I have high hopes for this one.

I hope you find this place useful.
