True, some of the old Gibsons can be great bargains as compared to
Fenders, I have some myself. Should note that some of the Gibsons are
not as easy to service and repair. At times the wiring can be a bit of
a rats nest as compared to Fenders. Opening up a Gibson and putting a
soldering iron to it is something I prefer not to do as compared to
servicing a Fender amp. Should also note that recently, the prices on
certain Gibson models have been getting pretty high also on Ebay,
they're not quite the bargain they used to be a few years back. Still,
something worth considering...
