Embossing [slap my own forehead]! I always just skipped over that word. I
thought they meant they smoothed the edges of the slot [and I thought, ~well
that defeats the purpose~].

Yes. Eureka. That's what the good one's are doing. If one had a way of
closing these slots down to their absolute tightest, without going too far.
But with what?

I just realized that this is probably all in the archives [if not recently
mentioned]. Just thought I'd do a little public forehead slapping. Keep the
dogs at bay, and all that, what? Embossing!!
