I'd be very suspicious of any technique that uses large amounts of
microwaves to cause the very cells of the wood to vibrate unnaturally like
that - you may affect the tonal character of the wood.

You must know that Microwave ovens rob the nutritional value of food surely?
This cannot bode well for organic wood either.

I think you would be better off to put it in an oven preheated at around
250F for just long enough to get the heat up opening up the wood pores for
the wax.
A much more natural means of warming the wood and ensures it
keeps its warmth and tonal character even with the application of beeswax.
