Mark,

I listened to the cut from your website and read Ken's comments. I have
to agree with Ken - I don't think it's your timing per say. I think
it's more a matter of staying more in the pocket with the guitar player
- - playing between his lines rather than over them. Sometimes you did
and sometimes you didn't. Perhaps being able to listen to his playing
before recording your lines you sometimes "anticipated" what he was
going to play and stole his thunder inadvertantly. At times the cut
came across sounding like you were the primary lead instrument rather
than the guitar. Since he's asking you to sit in on his recording I
don't think that is an impression you want to create. Ken's idea of
playing a little slower, mellower lines and sticking with the "response"
to his "call" is good advice.
