The following has been credited to many different people, but as one
(un)popular performer said, "The ONLY thing a performer owes the
public is a good performance, period. The rest is his private life."

It might be noted that one of Adler's books is entitled, "Me and My
Big Mouth," and, as the narrative makes clear he sure wasn't
