Michael Pickett has been wowing audiences from coast to coast in the last year and a half with his solo acoustic performances of original and traditional roots music. His vocal delivery is passionate and expressive of a deep love and respect for the music to which he has devoted his life.
Brilliantly accompanying himself on rack harmonica and guitar (resophonic and Gibson), Michael draws his audiences into his rootsy world with moving renditions of tunes by Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Arthur Crudup, Wolf, R. Johnson, and others, as well as his own award winning originals. One amazing show stopper is 'First Love, Last Love' (Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee) where Michael's vocal range and colour shine through... accompanied solely by harmonica.
