For me, it was Jon's book about Stone and the Caveboys that turned on a
light. OK, maybe it was just a glimmer, not a light, but after reading that
it freed me up and I began actually improving after a LONG period of total
stagnation.\
Then in the past couple of years, Harp-L, the Buckeye Harmonica Festival
and SPAH have been responsible for me getting great help from such folks as
Joe Filisko, Chris Michalek, Rob Papparozzi, Alec Drachman, Tom Albanese and
others. Despite their dedicated efforts, I remain a very intermediate
player.
But, most importantly, I remain.

tape/book/harmonica at the Syrause U. bookstore wayyy back in the day (ok,
so it was 4 years ago :). I'd come back from a long day of classes, push
play on my ol' walkman (financial aid stereo) and just sit back and soak it
in. It was really the only musical instruction I ever had...aside from
what I taught myself and what I learned from this fine harp-l community.
