Subject: Alannis Morrisette?

Someone recently posted that the BackStreet Boys sold over 9,000,000
copies OF JUST ONE SONG. Jazz, as an entire genre, ONLY sold 25,000,000
FOR THE ENTIRE JAZZ SCENE. Man, something is wrong with this country.
Herein lies the problem in a microcosm.
1. How much blues was sold?
2. How much ANYCRAP is this girl selling?
3. Who is buying the stuff that's sold?
4. Has taste died?
5. Who told the girl she could sing?
6. Was being naked in a video an asset?
7. Who sold her the harp?
8. Who let her even hold a guitar?
9. Where were the "Roadies" (when they shoulda been tossing her harp)
10. Who leased her the venue?
11. Who let her use that much electric power? (isn't that area having
probs)
12. Who wasted that much videotape?
Geez, I could go on and on, BUT I won't.

Seriously though, everyone has a right to their own taste. Just look in
any Mall parking lot and see the multitude of different makes, models,
styles, colors (and that's just-cars etc). On the other hand, some may
stick up for performers like these simply because it is in their own vested
interest. Certainly a person "In-The-Trade" will want to do "Positive"
things for THEIR particular field.
Fortunately, since I can't be hurt either way, I call it the way I see
it.

Does Alannis give a hoot about me?...I hope not
Is she richer than me................You Betcha
Is the joke on Me?.............Yes, because SHE has ME talking about HER.
Does she have ANY talent.............Your call
