I'll echo Michael's comments. Sandy Weltman is a first class player and
person and he's listed in the St. Louis phone book. Also, Keith Doder is
top notch (was playing harp for Jimmie Rogers the last year Jimmy was
alive). Sandy is more in the jazz arena (he studied under Howard Levy),
with Keith being blues/jump/swing oriented. If I were going to take
lessons, it would be from one of those two.

Matt, if you are interested in just a few pointers at this time, I'd talk to
ya for free. I'm not in the same class with Sandy or Keith, but I've been
playing since 1968 and perform almost every week. I could certainly give
you some initial pointers and you could move up to the real pro's as your
skills increase some. Contact me off list if interested or if you're
interested in more feedback on this.

Cheers,

HWY
(in St. Louis)
