The ONLY messages which should be sent to the address are those intended to be read and/or discussed onlist among the Harp-L members.
The address for the list management software system is . This is the ONLY address to use for messages such as "unsubscribe harp-l", "subscribe harp-l", "who harp-l", "who harp-l-digest", etc. In fact, for some insight into this system, try sending the message "help" [in the message box, not in the Subject line] to this address. Also, see what you get if you email the message "info" to . May come in handy some day! :)
Just think of it like this:
Harp-L is the discussion group; Majordomo is the "control center" for Harp-L. Discussion goes to Harp-L. Requests for help, to unsubscribe, etc. all go to Majordomo.
If you still have problems getting the help you need, submit your questions or comments to and one of the members of the help staff will try to assist you.
Incidentally, while it appears Harp-L is up and running again, the situation is still tenuous and evolving in the background, so please try to be patient while the intended solutions are continuing to be ironed out.
