Subject: Daily Almanac - January 14

I have no events to report for today.

My webmaster was looking through my files the other day when he came across
a group of reviews on my career and he asked me why I kept the bad reviews
at the front of the file. Very simple, I said, these are the ones that are
going to make me successful. Reviews that say only that this is a good book
or a good recording, don't give me anything more than a much appreciated pat
on the back. Those that actually pick apart my work and point out the flaws
help me to get an outside perspective, to see where I can improve and
therefore develop a better product in the future.

An person who takes the time to point out your mistakes is letting you know
how you can win the next time.
And that makes them not your enemy, but your ally.
