Personally, I like the Hohner Pro,,except for the relatively sharp edge of the reedplate that your lips have to negotiate, unless you sand or file it down some (which I've heard that some do). It is not as bright sounding as the Lee Oskars, another harp I'm partial to, being fairly consistent and reliable out of box, but I sometimes like having the deeper sounding Pro in hand, with the right amp.
Also, I find the durability of the Pro to exceed that of other harps I've tried. The reeds seem to take more of a beating than some others.

Hi Dave. If you are on a budget, you might want to fill your collection with the Honer Big River harp. They are at least half the price of the Pro Harp and I think play fairly well. They come in all 12 keys as well as special ones such as high G and low F. If you are on even a tighter budget, you could get some Johnston Blues Kings for about $2 each. Then if you find you use a specific key, you can upgrade that one to a Pro Harp or something similar.

Hi, This is my first post so bear with me here.
Im assuming that the majority of people here are in the US so may not be able to help, but I'm needing to play Another Mans Cause by the Levellers (UK band) and cannot for the life of me figure out what key its played in, leading me to the conclusion its probably some kind of folk harp -however, as Im fairly new to this game it could just be me missing something.
Also, whilst Im here what are peoples view on Hohner Pro Harps as Ive just finished buying all the regular keys, and had a horrible feeling I could have been getting something better, but with nothing to compare them to (apart from a Hering Black Blues) I thought it best to stick to the same model as Im still learning.
