I would agree with nearly all that JP Pagan said above, with the caveat
that the only "direction" which is right is that which we decide for
ourselves (thus, there is no "right" or "wrong" approach to playing the
harmonica). However, I tend to feel that this is a case where it's
probably better to first attempt to master making each position as
similar as possible to each other, and after that has been achieved (or
close enough for one's personal satisfaction--I haven't listened to
Tinus' piece yet), then try and see what each position brings to the
table for this tune. The point is that when learning I feel it is often
(but not always) better to learn as much as possible and then choose
what to use later. As it is much easier to make each version different
than similar, I think that going first for the similar will help to not
only highlight the differences, but also allow for a reference from
which to diverge.

Otherwise, I really do agree with the idea stated in the quoted section,
but tend to feel that if such implementation is what Tinus wants, he is
going about it the best way, as I can see it.
