He has built a wide reputation as one of the finest harmonica players in the world. Mark Feltham (who has played with Oasis, Joe Cocker and Rory Gallagher) rates him as the greatest acoustic harmonica player in the world, as does Charlie McCoy and U2's Bono who publicly declared Don, "the greatest harmonica player in the world".
A fine guitar player, Don learned blues guitar by listening to the great country blues players - Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Blake, Robert Johnson, and Scrapper Blackwell.
Don has been on the road, all over the world, entertaining audiences for nearly 30 years. The current band lineup features Gerry Hendrick (with Don's band for over 15 years) on lead, slide and acoustic guitars, Eric Coates on Bass Guitar, Kevin Malone on Drums and Peter Roycroft on Keyboards / Hammond Organ. A fine band with a variety from hushed to electric to rockin'.
Don has seven albums released with the eight album in pre-production (release 2003), so there is no shortage of original material as well as some of his favourite standards.
