None, unless you're talking about a vintage JT-30, which won't have a volume
control and might have a screw-on amphenol connector instead of XLR.

"Better" is a subjective term. You'll get all sorts of opinions here on the
relative worth tone-wise of different mics, amps, harps, etc.

For what it's worth, I prefer JT-30s over GBs, both for their tone and
because I have less feedback problems with them.

On the other hand, the crystal elements that JT-30s use are now out of
product and rising rapidly in price. Given the crystals' propensity to
failure from dropping the mic or from temperature changes, you may want to
consider the future cost of using a JT-30.

In general I don't like solid state amps for harp or guitar. Some people on
the list like the Nifty 50. To be honest, I've never tried one.

You mentioned "cheap" amp -- again that's a relative term. To me, an amp
that I can buy today, use for many years, and sell for a lot more than what
I paid for it is a lot cheaper than an inexpensive amp that only lasts a few
years and has no resale value.

For a couple of hundred dollars, you can pick up a silverface Fender Champ
or Vibrochamp that will sound great and hold its value.
