Subject: John Walton remembrance

John Walton died at home on Thursday 16th May 2002 aged 61. He was a South
African professional harmonica player and entertainer who settled in the UK
in the late 1970s. John took over the running of the NHL from John Tyler in
the 1980s before handing it on to Colin Mort a few years later. He was a
founder member of the IHO when it was established under Peter Janssen and
became its President after Peter's death. John was very active in promoting
contact between the major harmonica playing regions of the world and he
attended and promoted international events in Europe, Asia and the USA.

John's wife, Jeanette Walton, would like to invite any of John's friends to
a Celebration of John's life to be held between 2pm and 5pm on Tuesday June
4th at Langtry Manor, Derby Road, off Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH1
3BQ. Food and coffee will be provided and anyone wishing to play will be
very welcome. If you think you can attend, please let Jeanette know. She
can be contacted at 144 Wyndham Road, Bournemouth, BH1 4RA, by phone at
01202247150, or by email at jeanet~eryme.freeserve.co.uk
