A lotta great suggestions so far, I definitely dig the Premier Twin 8. The
Harvard was mentioned also but that has a 10" speaker and is a push-pull
slightly more powerful amp. I have one of these also and there great amps
but
not really in this category. The Kalamazoos are good also (and reasonably
priced still.) Another great small single ended amp but usually expensive
is
the tweed Fender Princeton. If you find a deal on one of these grab it.
IMHO
the best value is still a silverface Champ. These are built like tanks, can
still be had on Ebay for less that $200 and though not perfect can be modded
very easily into a great harp amp. With an upgraded rectifier, output
transformer, and some internal mods these little babies can easily drive a
big
extension cab. The Supros, Valcos, and Gibsons are all worthwhile amps
also.
