Subject: Dick Mobley Gone

I just received notice regarding the passing of long-time SPAH member
Richard (Dick) Mobley, Tampa and Ocala, Florida resident. Dick was known
as a leading chord player, but was also a very talented chromatic player
with a beautiful tone. He had taught his three daughters to play harmonica
when they were young, and they often participated as a trio/quartet at
many shows in the Tampa area, as well as SPAH Conventions.

I and my family, together with Charlie and Addie Hutler of New Jersey, had
the privilege of attending their very special 4th of July Patriotic Show in
Tampa in 1976, the Nation's 200th Birthday.

Dick was also a member of a larger harmonica group that included Frank
Warner, and they made a couple of 45rpm records in the early 1970s.

Our thoughts are with Dick's wife, Millie, and their 3 daughters, Susan,
Theresa, and Christine, and of course their grandchildren.

Another great player has gone to a better place. Dick always had a lot
of fun, always laughing, and always playing. We're going to miss him
a lot.
