There is no difference in the reeds or plates except that the reedplates are
a slightly different shape. However, on the MB, the
reedplates are nailed to a wooden comb, and on the S20, they are bolted to a
plastic comb. The cover plates are also different.

The nails on the MB can sometimes cause it to leak air more than the S20 and
the wood comb often swells and can feel rough on the
tongue. Many people think that the wood comb makes the MB sound "warmer". I
won't restart the materials debate, but I think most
people who have looked into it would agree that the slots on the ends of the
cover plates of the MB contribute much more to it's
unique sound than the comb does.
