First, Birthday greeting to my big sister Patty, who turns 29 again today!

Country / Bluegrass banjo and harmonica player Rusty York was born on this
day in 1935. York has been performing since the 1950's and owns his own
record label.

Singer-songwriter, guitar and harmonica player Bob Dylan was born on this
day in 1941. Regardless of anybody's opinion of his musical abilities,
Dylan is the undisputed leader of the the Folk music movement that emerged
in the early 1960's. It should be noted that Dylan's first recordings were
as a session harmonica player, recording with Carolyn Hester, Harry
Belafonte, Big Joe Williams and others.

Rock guitar and harmonica player Derek Quinn was born on this day in 1942.
Quinn played in the group Freddie And The Dreamers during the British
Invasion of the 1960's.

Bluegrass multi-instrumentalist David Moody was born on this day in 1952.
David plays the harmonica and other instruments in The Moody Brothers Band.
The group has been performing and recording since 1968.

Folk / Rock guitar and harmonica player Gene Clark died on this day in 1991.
Clark helped to found The New Christy Minstrels, then The Byrds, finally
spending the rest of his life and career working with various Folk, Country
and Rock performers.

That's all I have for today. Have fun and practice.
