Subject: re: more harp CD

An excellent idea was posted-why don't we buy each other's CDs? Several
posts noted that harp sounds better in small doses. I know of tons of
harp albums with killer harp all the way through. They're not in my
collection. I have limited funds. I will probably buy the old classics
first-I need East West. I need the Sonny Terry and Woodie Guthrie CD. I
need some Lightning Hopkins (he doesn't play harp but I need him anyway).
This is regressive, and will cause me to miss out hearing what's new and
exciting with my talented comrades, and for that I am truly sorry.

The last 2 harp albums I bought were Muddy Waters Hard Again with harp
all the way through( Mr. James Cotton)-excellent. I bought it for $3.00
at Wal Mart in the discount bin and Jr Wells HooDoo Man Blues, again,
excellent harp all the way through, and picked up cheap at the discount
bin in Wal Mart.

So let me get a few more of my childhood favorite albums, then I'll check
out the harp-l stuff.

By the way, the Electric Starlight Space Animals only put 2 or 3 harp
tunes on any given album. Sometimes there's no room for the harp or the
harp doesn't fit the tune or we just forget to put it in.

By the way, compilation albums often give you a chance to hear a variety
of harp, a variety of tones, sometimes less monotonous, and often a great
way to hear some players you might not have discovered otherwise.
