I take back what I said earlier... about the "lamest post I've seen in
years"...
because you've just oudone yourself with this one ;^0~

IMFO: Kim already is a legendary player.
Not only in my mind...but in the mind and hearts of thousands.

Yet, you put Sugar Blue in a legendary status...and not Kim...interesting.
I don't agree at all, but interesting just the same.
(I don't much care for the Hendrix approach to the blues)

As Chris said though, he has a right to state his opinion.
I'm not arguing that. Nor trying to defend someone as Great
as Kim...who really needs no defense...as the music speaks volumes.

I guess we all hear what we wanna hear...but I really don't hear that
much LW in Kim's playing. If anything, I hear more BW, George, and
a whole bunch of KIM.

Just another man's opinion, but I believe at the present...
Kim is in a league all his own.

I also tend to look at the whole package, and not just the harp playing,
when dealing with the total frontman goes. I'm also a vocalist, so when I
think of Kim & his playing, I guess I'm also thinking of his killer vocals.

Is Kim my favorite Blues singer/harp player right now?
Well....when I'm listening to him...he definitly is.

But I try, (real hard) to appreciate what I'm listening to at the moment...
and what that musician has to offer and if it's true & from the heart.

Peace,
No dis to Chris...we don't lock horns ;))
