I think it goes well beyond personal feelings (although they
certainly count).

It's unprofessional for a pro to harshly criticise other players. It
makes you look like you've got shortcomings and are trying to
minimize them by degrading others. Children with inferiority
complexes sometimes resort to this.

It also downgrades the entire profession of harmonica players -
yourself included.

Even Dylan, Alanis, etc., have redeeming harmonica values. When they
play, it sounds like they're having fun, and I think it adds to their
music.

And if someone has no redeeming value as a harmonica player, how easy
is it to simply have "no comment"?
