Subject: Chord Changes

One two three-one. One two three-two. One two three-three. . .

Ever since Iron Man Mike made that post about counting to keep track of
chord
changes, I have been practicing: 1 2 3 1 - 1 2 3 2 - 1 2 3-3 . . .

During the winter months I have the opportunity to play with a Bluegrass
group down in the Texas Rio Grand Valley. Keeping track of those chord
changes has always been a mystery to me and the only advice given was: "It
will come to you". It never did "come to me".

If I keep at this count thing, maybe I will internalize it. But: Mike also
said that learning the chords on the guitar or piano would help. At my age,
I
don't have the motivation to go through the finger-tip-pain required to
learn
guitar chords, and I was turned off to the piano as a little kid, when I had
to practice while the other kids were outside playing at school recess.

Now a question: Do you think it would help me to learn chords if I got a
chord harmonica? If so: Which one? Could I learn just as well on a diatonic?

Blow blow blow blow. Blow blow blow blow. Blow blow blow blow. Blow blow
blow
blow. Draw draw draw draw. . . .

Cheeze! That seems boring.
