This is indeed true. A particular long-term member of our community has been using multiple addresses over a long period of time to disrupt the list. Their target has been individuals as well as the list in general with insulting and offensive comments both on and off list. I am sorry to say that I can do little to actually prevent this from occurring more viciously in the future now that I have become aware of it. All I can do is remove the offending addresses after I have discovered something offensive. It is the nature of our programming.
So, if you feel that any post or reply you receive may be from just such a person, please let me know and please try to avoid continuing the thread on list. We cannot allow this individual or any others to drag us into debates over their purposely offensive comments. Anytime you see something that you think might pertain to this issue you are welcome to forward it directly to me.
In the meantime I can say that the rest of our list members have religiously exhibited both kind and thoughtful behavior at all times and I am proud to be a member of such a fine group. Recent events have brought this to light in the most touching way. As for the power of music, I don't know anyone who wasn't touched by the decision to play the Star Spangled Banner first at yesterday's changing of the guard in London. Music can send a message in a way nothing else can.
