Subject: Hering 6164 vs Hohner Super 64

Folks,

I'm thinking of getting a four octave chromatic.

For those of you who have the Hering 6164, I'd appreciate any comments you
might have as to its quality, e.g., air-tightness, reed tuning, slide
functionality, etc.

I'd especially like to hear how it compares to a Hohner Super 64.

Also, are replacement reed plates available for three octave tenor
chromatics, e.g., CX12, 270, etc.

Finally any other comments/opinions on four octave chromos in general would
be welcome.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I recently lost my job and I
don't have access to my laptop anymore where I had my links to the harp-l
archives.

Thanks for your help.

Jimbeau
