By the way, I'm on the mend and should be perfectly fine soon, as long as I don't do anything stupid (I won't be entering the caber-toss at the Scottish Games).
Winslow <I had a serious spinal operation in 1992, and for a while I thought I would have to give up playing because of the enormous pain. Since then I don't think "wimp" anymore when someone says he/she has backproblems. My advice is not to carry amps that weigh like say a Twin or so, but ask other bandmembers to lift it for you; a hassle in it's own right, but saving your hurt back is more important then being afraid you might be thought of as a "wimp". Even today I'm overcautious not to lift heavy stuff, since I can still feel my back had such a serious blow it will last my lifespan. Stay (or get) well, "Lazy Backbone" Lew
