Marina, CA.
A local man was cleared today of animal cruelty charges when it was discovered that he was not strangling a small cat, but rather practicing the harp. The local man indicated that he had started lessons a few days prior and was attempting to be diligent in his practice time.
The local man was released from custody after being admonished to heed his instructor, a Mr. Pete Grissim of Monterey... and to practice down at the beach where his neighbors can't hear.
Sorry, couldn't resist..
But thanks to Pete, I'm now happily enrolled in classes.. every thursday afternoon. Going well so far, but after a few minutes of practicing, my FACE hurts. *chuckle* It'll take time, of course. But it'll happen.
I wonder what Pete'll say when he finds out that I'm figuring out how to play Fur Elise (badly, but it's recognizeable at least..) on the harp... [;)] Give it a few months, then I hopefully can live up to my middle name.. which, oddly enough, is Harper..
