Subject: 8-10 gapping

Trying to work more on the high end of the harp recently. Blow bends
are still pretty erratic. Biggest problem seems to be responsiveness on
the high end - difficulty in playing faster runs on holes 8-10 - they
seem to either choke or sound late (9 draw in particular). Question: Is
there any special gapping advice for the higher end to improve matters.
I played around with the reed gaps on a C SP20 (trying to improve
bendability) and seemed to make matters worse. Similar difficulties
appear on many brands and keys G, Ab, A, Bb, C on SP20, MB, Huang SP,
LO's....actually the Huang's seemed to play easiest. I know that
embrochure changes are important on the high end, but with much
experimentation over several days I don't seem to be making any
progress. Just curious if there was any general advice on gapping the
higher reeds vs. what we normally do on the lower ones.
