Both Jerry and Larry were related. In fact Jarry was Larry's younger brother and spent a great deal of his life in the shadow of his older sibling. Occasionally stories, like the one about playing with Truman at the White House, actually happened to Jerry. Larry was a political exile by that time.
Jerry taught Jimmy Stewart how to play the harmonica for the movie "Pot 'O' Gold" as well as playing Stewart's parts for the movie. He also played in the movies "Shane" and "The Alamo". I'm not sure of his current status, but Jerry Adler is one heck of a skilled harmonica player in his own right and a nice guy as well. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Samuel J. Gravina" To: "M.
