Subject: re:playing for your heroes

John Lee Hooker's sax player sat down and listened to me play harp one
evening. He was an older gentleman, dressed to the nines. He listened
quietly for about 20 minutes, then slipped away. I was floored.

Jonathon Richman came over to the commune I was staying at in my younger
days and listened to us play. Said we sounded like early Rolling Stones
(I wish we did).

I have a long way to go before I reach that level of musicianship, but
the encouragement was a huge help.
