I may be misunderstanding this post, but I thought the Bassman RI had a
socket for the rectifier and you could either plug in a solid state one or a
tube one. I could have sworn that I read that somewhere. Mine's got a tube
rectifier in it and I'm sure the guy who I bought it from told me it had the
solid state piece in there and it had been swapped out. I didn't think
there was any modification to be made, just a swapping of parts---straight
plug-in.
