It looks like I'm gonna finally have to bite the bullet and buy a new PA head, as the #$&~ Carvin we've been using continues with it's intermittent problems. Any input as to relative merits/disadvantages/etc. of Peavey vs. Mackie would be greatly appreciated. Looking at a 6 channel unit, Peavey XR600F, vs. comparable Mackie (406 M? 606?). We plug run two vocal mics, two acoustic guitars (direct to head/ Taylors w/ fishman pickup/preamps) and I mike my small Smicz harp amp, so we use 5 channels. TIA, Rupert.
