hmmm...I've heard them called ALOT of things, but never Military.
All the on-line electronics suppliers go by a stock #...so for the male
end w/press fit & threads (includes lock washer, grounding ring, nut)
made by Switchcraft, it's #2501MB (SCRFT) Thanks to quite a few
list members for supplying this info, making my on-line search possible.
I have found literally hundreds available from wholesale outfits, so I'm
glad I work at a plumbing/electrical outlet, and my boss is a guitarist ;))

Thanks Mike!

No "fix" I know of. I just take a minimum of 4 cords to gigs,
just in case I do step on the cord. Also, I watch my steps alot
closer than I used to. Not a good idea to have TOO many drinks
while employing these types of cords either. oops..

I used to use a 1/4" adapter with the #2501MP...but find that
they also eventually become somewhat loose and funky, and
the connection goes bad. That's why you might see some harp
star with a $1500. suit on his gig...and duct tape on his mic ;))
