I just checked the http://www.mouser.com site. Found a 502-2501F
connector (pg 137 of their online catalog). This is the end that
goes on the cable. But it said that the threaded part can be slipped
off to make it into a "male".

Check it and make sure it's what you're looking for, and drop them an
email to see if they have the press-in version.
