Usually, when someone promises big things in the music biz if you pay
them money, it's a sham. But TAXI is apparently different. As far
as facts and personal experience (discounting unfounded gossip and
opinion), I've heard nothing but good things about them. I've seen
glowing writeups about TAXI in magazine articles and such, where the
writers' credibility (and career) is on the line.

Basically, what they do is take your material, listen to it closely,
then try to find the closest "matches" with A&R. Apparently industry
types are more responsive to this "prescreened" material.

But I'd do a search and see for myself.
