I just caught Piazza and the Mighty Flyers at the Snow Bird Jazz and Blues
Festival in Utah. Piazza was playing one of his personal mics through a
rented '59 Bassman reissue. It appears just the band, and not the equipment,
were flown in for the concert.

Playing a Super 64 and Marine Bands, Rod's tone was fat and powerful. The
tone he gets out of a chromatic is amazing. The Mightly Flyers utterly wowed
the crowd and totally upstaged Jimmy Vaughn who was the headliner.

I wanted to see and hear a Harp King. Nonetheless, it was a great show.
