Subject: IRONMAN

I don't really know Mike but he is a good player and obviously opinionated.
So what? He offers his insight, I believe it to be helpful. Look, I'm just
as blunt as he is.
I don't intend it to be mean or hurtful , I just don't have time to dance
around things. If your a professional at anything you need to be able to
accept criticism but the one doing the critique should have a good basis for
it and a working knowledge of the subject.
I know some A&R people who can bring tears to a songwriter's eyes. They
don't play games or throw around praise to make people feel better. To do
that is much crueler. I've heard one tell a writer to "tear the damn thing
up!"

Carol , you must have some other issues going on. Why the poison?
If you all want to talk about Zen and Buddha well ok but I actually come in
here to learn something about my chosen instrument. That's right, I play
five nights a week and do cessions all the time but I learn things all the
time. Sometimes from Mike.
I have other interests too but I don't think about woodcarving while I'm
playing.
(I do think about music while carving though)
