Hey there, well I finally got around to mixing my computers' CD player with my POD and into headphones - getting the mix right is a bit of a hassle with the POD into the LINE IN of the computer ... its a fine balance, but I found it. Then I popped in DISK 3 of Jerry Portnoy's Blues MasterClass ... and dialled up the play alongs! ...
Argh! I've got a HEAP of practise to do outside of 2nd position!! Put in a good hour this evening though. This setup works really well! Many hours of shedding with the best of them to come!
Mind you with a standard mic, and a karioke machine you could probably do the same thing ... but this way I get to play through my own rig! Also I can record the results when I start getting good at it, as well as use it at full volume through the stereo if I felt like it... many possibilities ahead.
But just for now, headphones ARE neccessary for the neighbours' sanity. ;)
