Hello Harp-L,
I will soon be ordering my first custom chromatic. I also play primarily Celtic music. I know there are instruments available with the slide notes altered or retuned to assist with the playing of Celtic decorations (ala Brendan Power). Can someone please help me with what this means? What is actually altered from a music theory standpoint. How does this work? My dilemma is whether or not I am at an appropriate music theory level to get one of these specially altered instruments or should I stick with a standard customized chromatic for awhile. I do read music and have been attempting all aspects of this style on standard C chromatics. It's time to grow! Thank you, Heidi
