'mornin all. And what a busy weekend it was. Any of you PA/NJ zellers
hear about the new blues type room that opened in downtown Philly? It's
located in the 18th and Spruce area. I was trying to get down there but
didn't quite make it. That corner has been the kiss of death for
restaurants. It's a good location except there's no parking. Plenty of
Valet service around.

Last week's jam at Manayunk Brewpub was rather interesting. We did a
set with a guy that was part of a convention that visiting the area.
Pretty good singer too. We did the standard SRV and Clapton tunes with
him. Then a couple of 80's rock tunes. When he asked us to do Freebird,
that was it. "NO, we are not doing Freebird." We did Sweet Home Alabama
instead.
Now that it's warmed up, we'll be moving outside to do the jam. We get
to play louder outside, oh joy.

On the 18th I'm doing a solo thingy in City Hall's courtyard from
12-1pm. It's part of a promo for the upcoming philly bluesfest.
On the 23rd, B.N.B. (brave new blues) will play the kick off party for
the Philly Bluesfest at Kat-Man-Du on Delaware Ave.
$30 at the door, open bar and buffet. Starts at 6pm. Looks like a
sellout, so reserve tix in advance if it's not to late.

..and yes, it's official. I think My neighbor gets the prize for finally
putting his christmas tree out with the trash. Only took him 5 1/2
months. ; )
