I have no events to report for today.

Get out there and do it yourself. I am simply overwhelmed by the number of
people who do amazing CD's, books, etcetera on their own. Whatever the
motivation, be it the desire the control your own destiny, make more money
per item or just the lack of having anyone else offer to do it, doing your
own project is a very rewarding experience. You learn what it takes to put
together a CD or book, you learn marketing, publicity, graphic design, the
logistics of working with wholesalers and a whole lot more. I now have a
major appreciation of the work that publishers do and can't walk into the
bookstore without admiring the craft it takes to create a book.

Everybody should try to do their own major project at least once in their
lives. For all the hard work, worry and heartache, it's really a lot of
fun.
