A quick follow up,,I was not talking about the ends of the cord having a bad connection, I did mean the cord itself, will pick up sound,,also If you have a JT-30 with the original element I would change it out, I replace mine once a year and notice a Big improvement everytime.those crystal elements are in a constant state of deterioration that cannot be stopped.If yours is older than 2 years. I guarantee an improvement..
