Subject: Re: Shure SM57--hand held?

(1) Recording and studio great, Rob Paparozzi uses a SM57 and he sounds
terrific! Rob's email address: chromb~arthlink.net (Rob Paparozzi). (2)
>From time to time, I use a Shure Sonodyne 540. In addition to the "warm"
tone that can be achieved with this Hi-Z mic (which has the vintage Shure
vocal element), the diameter is larger than the SM57, and therefore, more
comfortable to hold. Contact Tom Ellis at Tom's Mics (214)328-3225 and he'll
be able to track one down for you. Good luck!
