Subject: Sealing Cover Plates

I have a question regarding the sealing of the cover plates on a Marine Band.
I seem to be getting some air leaking through were the cover plates fits into the slot on top of the reed plate. I heard that Tim Moyer seals the cover plates on his custom harps. Anyone know how it's done?
