Subject: 2nd Position?

Hi Harp-L ers,
I have been following this list for several months now and am amazed
at how much can be learned here. I even feel I almost know many of you
personally, even though we have not met.
As a self learning Novice, I have bought many instruction books,
videos, tapes, and lots of CDs with harmonica playing. I have bought
more brands and models of harmonicas than I dare to mention.
I can play clean single notes, do a few chords and follow the book
tabs for a lot of songs. ALL in 1st position! My understanding at
present is that just about everyone plays 2nd position almost by
instinct.
2nd position, as I "think" I understand it starts on the #2 draw and
go from there. Go where?? Since I can't play by ear, I need tabs.
Are there any song books that I can just follow the bouncing Harp to
be playing in 2nd position automatically? Would I be able to transpose
1st position songs to 2nd position with such limited knowledge of music?
Thanks in advance ..
